POZNÁMKA 1 k heslu: V dokumentech ISO/TC 204 byl dříve používán termín kód polohy, ale z důvodu sladění s činnostmi ISO/TC 211 je dnes preferován termín geografický identifikátor.
PŘÍKLAD: Příkladem popisku je Španělsko (název země); příkladem kódu je SW1P 3AD (PSČ).

EXAMPLE: “Spain” is an example of a label (country name); “SW1P 3AD” is an example of a code (postcode).
