POZNÁMKA 1 k heslu: Objekty mají název, vlastnosti a vztahy k ostatním objektům. Informační model poskytuje prostředky k popisu informací z oblasti zájmu bez omezení způsobu mapování popisu na skutečnou softwarovou realizaci.
PŘÍKLAD: Nákladní automobily, kontejnery, nákladní prostory lodi a/nebo abstraktní objekty, např. pro entity fakturačního systému.

NOTE 1 to entry: The objects have a name, properties and relationships to other objects. An information model provides a means to describe the information in a domain of interest without constraining how that description is mapped to an actual implementation in software.
